Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941 the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. The family moved from Casper, Wyoming with his family at the age of 13. The father of his worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, directed the soil conservation district that was located in Casper.
